      Shiatsu is a type of body massage that was developed in Japan over 100 years ago, based on ideas taken from traditional Chinese medicine. The basic principle is that there is a system of energy channels (meridian system) within the human body. The objective of a Shiatsu massage is to boost the physical, emotional and mental well-being of the treated person.
