You may find yourself nervous about being in the physician's office to start with, or you may be worried about what the reading or your exam may uncover. It's even worse to find out that the standard blood pressure cuff, designed for the upper arm, simply doesn't fit around your bicep.

      The cuff must fit properly in order for your physician to obtain an accurate reading. Thankfully, most doctor's offices keep smaller upper arm cuffs in stock in their office. If you're using your Omron blood pressure monitor at home, on the other hand, you'll need to upgrade to a smaller arm band.
