The new blood pressure monitor Beurer BM40 combines ease of use and precision

A regular monitoring of the blood pressure is especially important for seniors. Unfortunately, the uncertainty in dealing with technical equipment and mobility problems make a measurement at home often difficult. This is where the new blood pressure monitor Beurer BM 40 comes at hand. It offers an easy to read display in a comfortable size (8.5 x 5.4 cm) with contrast digits. This makes the handling simple, even for people with visual impairment. The BM40 stores all morning and evening readings from the last seven days and calculates an average. Overall, it has 2 x 60 memory spaces and displays the date as well as the time. Thanks to the WHO indicator, the user can easily interpret the measured results: The bar graph on the display and a scale on the device indicate the zone of the blood pressure results. In addition, the automatic arrhythmia detection warns in case of possible heart rhythm disorders. For additional safety, the blood pressure monitor warns in case of a false application, e.g. when the measurement will take place directly after physical exertion, or if the cuff is not properly attached to the upper arm. There is also a blood pressure card included, so that the user can take note of the values for regular monitoring by the attending physician.

The BM40 measures the blood pressure by using a cuff that has to be placed around the upper arm. The automatic pressure pre-selection and the air vent allow a pleasant and comfortable measurement. The device offers also an automatic switch off and informs the user if the 1.5 volt batteries should be replaced. To make application for the user as comfortable as possible, the required Batteries are included. The practical bag ensures that the items do not get lost during storage. The cuff of the BM40 is suitable for upper arm circumferences 22-35 cm.
