  • Description Beurer LE 70

    • The Beurer LE 70 air dehumidifier works according to the condensation principle. A fan positioned at the air inlet draws in the humid ambient air over the evaporator and the adjoining condenser.

The air found in rooms is made up of a mixture of gases and always contains a certain amount of water (in the form of vapour), which determines the humidity level within a room. The higher the room temperature, the more humidity the room air can take on. When the room temperature drops, air releases humidity into the room. Condensation builds and this can then settle on walls or windows, for example, and can lead to undesirable damage such as mould, rot, corrosion or other damage caused by damp. To prevent such damage from occurring, the air dehumidifier draws humidity out of the ambient air so that no condensation can form on walls or windows.

The condensation principle has two steps: In the first step, the humid ambient air is cooled by the cold evaporator to just below dew point. The water vapour contained in the ambient air then settles as condensate on the evaporator and trickles into the water tank of the dehumidifier. Alternatively, there is the option of fitting a condensate hose to allow the condensed water to drain away directly into an outlet (e.g. into a sink). In a second step, the now dehumidified, cooled air is reheated on the condenser and released back into the ambient air. This way, the prepared, dry air mixes with the ambient air. With the ambient air continuously circulating, humidity is drawn out of the room.

      The LE 70 air dehumidifier
      – dehumidifies air in an eco-friendly way without chemical granulates
      – features a control unit with illuminated LCD display
      – the water extracted from the air can collect in the built-in water tank or empty directly down a drain via a condensate hose
      – switches off automatically as soon as the water tank is full or the preset target air humidity level is reached (a room humidity level of 50% is the most healthy level)
      – features two fan speeds, including a swing function for better air distribution
      – is equipped with an automatic defrost function
      – protects items that are sensitive to humidity, e.g. furniture or musical instruments
      – is suitable for rooms between 40 m² and 60 m²

The device is powered by AC 220 volts. It can not be used with batteries.
