Changing the battery on the Promed 1000s TENS

The Promed TENS 1000s uses one 9 volt battery. Since the device consumes the battery relatively quickly if used regularly, we recommend using a rechargeable battery. This is more economical and protects the environment. Best use a 9 V alkaline battery or a rechargeable nickel-cadmium battery instead.

In the Promed 1000s TENS, one can see at first glance where exactly the battery compartment is located. Usually you look for it on the back side of the device. However, the Promed 1000s has it on the front. To save you time, the video explains where to find the battery compartment and how to open the cover.

The battery compartment can be opened by simply pulling down the cover plate, which is attached to the front for protection of the switch and battery. To do so, just place your thumb on the small dots on the cover, right above the switch window, and pull the cover down. The battery compartment is accessible and you can take out the used battery and insert a new 9V battery. Close the cover by pushing it upwards along the rails again until it clicks into place.
