Combined help against snoring

Snoring and even the risks of sleep apnea can be significantly reduced using two approaches: One aid is for use in the nose, the other in the mouth. The Swede Leif Soderberg has tested the effect of this combination himself.

Apparently, it takes two aids to eliminate snoring and sleep apnea. He's developed the MegaVent nasal dilator, which provides an opening of the airways in the nose, as well as the ReduZnore mouthpiece. When muscle tension subsides during sleep, the tissue fragments in the mouth and throat sag and narrow the air channel. The ReduZnore ensures an opening of the trachea in the throat by slightly shifting the lower jaw and thus ensures that the soft tissue parts vibrate less strongly.

The success factor of a combined application of the nasal dilator MegaVent with the Rio mouthpiece is 80%. The anti-snoring mouth piece is based on the principle of protrusion splints, which have already proven themselves. The advantage of the ReduZnore developed by Soderberg is that it adapts to the jaw very well. It is made of a special plastic that malleable at 75°C. Just take make a dental impression, let the mouth piece cool and you're ready to use it. If necessary, the ReduZnore mouthpiece can be reheated and reshaped. The widened trachea in the nose and the throat also improve oxygenation of the body and the brain. Sleep apnea, i.e. the complete interruption of oxygen supply to the body, can be reduced or eliminated. This makes breathing during sleep easier and also reduces snoring, which leads to a significantly better quality of sleep.

Just in from Sweden: ReduZnore

Anti-snoring mouthpieces are an effective aid against snoring. Until recently, however, they were difficult to customize.
The ReduZnore anti-snoring system has eliminated this problem by using a special plastic.

One of the benefits of ReduZnore is that it is very comfortable to wear. This is due to the reinforced rear part, which reduces pressure on the front teeth. The thinner design of the mouthpiece compared to similar products on the market ensures easy use and a perfect fit. Thus the clear, transparent part adapts to your teeth and can be worn comfortably. The special design keeps the mouthpiece away from the tongue, despite the extended ends.

Just as people are different, so are the causes of snoring. That's why there's no universal solution that can help all snorers. Sometimes one needs to try different methods that can help unblock the nose and throat. Here, intraoral protrusion splints are a special development for easily opening the trachea in the mouth area. This trachea tends to become narrow during sleep due to the decrease in the muscle tension of the soft tissues of the mouth area. The protrusion splint is worn in the same way as braces and are easy to insert and remove. The underlying principle is simple: a slight forward shift of the jaw widens the trachea. The protrusion splint is particularly useful for people at risk of sleep apnea and offers them a safer sleep.

One drawback these splints had until now was the exact adjustment. That's why the Swedish manufacturer Adactive spent the last eleven years developing the easy-to-shape ReduZnore mouthpiece in collaboration with dentists and ENT doctors. It has shown a high success rate as an anti-snore aid. Another advantage is that it can be combined with a nose piece. Anybody interested in using a nose dilator for widening the trachea in the nose together with an anti-snore mouthpiece will find the Adactive products to be a great solution.
