      When it comes to choosing among electrodes for your TENS / EMS unit, you should be guided by your own experience. Some prefer self-adhesive electrodes over permanent electrodes that are used with gel. For others it is the other way around, since permanent electrodes made of carbon keep much longer. Thus, at maximum you will have to order a new gel, while you can still use the same electrodes.
