    • The quality of the water in a shower should not be underestimated. Shower water can contain many pollutants, which may have a negative effect on the skin or the walls of the bathtub or shower. The heavy metals, calcium and chlorine are the most common ingredients in tap water known to have a negative influence, yet they are also easy to filter. The easy-to-install and low-maintenance Equator shower filter does exactly that. Installation of the Filopur shower filter results in a slight loss of water pressure. The installation and filter change, which needs to be performed once a year given a conventional shower frequency (about two showers of three minutes per day) doesn't take a qualified craftsman. You can change the filter yourself within a few minutes.

      The Equator shower filter reduces the content of various substances in the water, which may harm the skin, hair, or shower walls. The filter:

      • Reduces lime deposits on skin, hair, and the surface of the shower/bath

    • The Equator shower filter removes contaminants from the shower water by means of an electrochemical reaction. Chlorine doesn't merely have a noticeably unhealthy effect on skin and hair, but can also facilitate inhalation of unhealthy trihalomethanes (a by-product of chlorination). Toxic heavy metals that enter the body via the skin can disrupt the nervous system or impair cell activities. They have even been found to be a cause of development of chronic diseases. And lime doesn't just accumulate on fittings and tiles, leaving clearly visible stains, but also dries out the skin and hair. The Equator Shower Filter is capable of converting lime to make the water noticeably softer, thus eliminating unwanted itching (especially in infants).
