      Alkaline baths have been known for centuries for their detoxifying and cleansing effects. They are beneficial to the skin, the body's largest organ. The detoxifying and cleansing effect of the Helfe alkaline bath is the ideal way to naturally regulate the body's acid-base balance in the long term, and purifying the skin to make it silky soft and clean.

      Horsetail belongs to the fern plant family. The active ingredients of this fine plant have a stimulating effect on the skin's metabolism. As a result, the extract has a purifying and detoxing effect that is also used to support slimming cures. The contained silica also supports in firming and strengthening the skin. Horsetail is also sometimes referred to as snake grass.

      Bath recommendations:
      • Water temperature: about 35 °C
      • Dosage: 2-3 tablespoons, depending on the size of the bathtub

      The optimum effect is achieved with a pH of 8-9.5. The hardness of the regional tap water as well as the size of the bath can affect the resulting pH of the bath, so the individual dosage should be measured using a pH strip.

      A bath time of at least 40 minutes is recommended for achieving an optimal effect. However, you can enjoy a bath for up to 2 hours.

      People with sensitive skin will notice the benefits of using horsetail extract in the bath. Thanks to the silica found in the product, this bath purifies and tightens the skin.
